Full Job Description

Position Overview

IDEA Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Licensed Health Insurance Agent (1099 Independent Contractor) to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote opportunity for professionals licensed in the State of Florida who are passionate about helping individuals and families find the right health insurance solutions.

The ideal candidate is sales-driven, highly organized, and committed to providing an exceptional client experience while meeting individual production goals.

Position Details

Position: Licensed Health Insurance Agent (1099 Independent Contractor)
Location: Remote (Florida Residents Only)
6 months Contract
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: Competitive Base Pay + Uncapped Commissions
Schedule: Flexible (Availability during standard business hours required)

Key Responsibilities

Educate clients on available ACA, Marketplace, Medicare (if applicable), and ancillary health insurance products.
Assess customers' healthcare needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
Guide clients through the enrollment process while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Respond to inbound and outbound sales opportunities via phone, email, text, and CRM.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions within the CRM.
Follow up with leads in a timely and professional manner.
Meet or exceed individual sales and production goals.
Stay current on health insurance regulations, carrier updates, and product offerings.
Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and coaching opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Active Florida 2-15 Health & Life Insurance License (required).
Previous experience selling ACA/Marketplace Health Insurance.
Strong understanding of health insurance products, benefits, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
Excellent communication and consultative sales skills.
Ability to build trust and establish rapport with clients.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Strong computer skills and experience using CRM systems.
High-speed internet connection and dedicated home office.
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience during Open Enrollment.
Experience with Medicare or ancillary products.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Experience using Salesforce, AgencyBloc, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
Call center or telesales experience is a plus.
