Job Title: Director of Multifamily Design & Estimating

Quick Tie Products, Inc. (“QuickTie”) is a growing manufacturer servicing the building materials products industry. We manufacture and distribute a proprietary hold-down system for wood frame and masonry construction, as well as other related framing products. We are looking for a Director of Multifamily Design & Estimating to run these departments of our Multi-Family business unit. This is one of the most important leadership positions at QuickTie. The Director of Multifamily Design & Estimating will play a key role in expanding our presence in the rapidly growing multifamily construction market while building an industry-leading design and estimating organization. This person will be a proven leader with a successful history of leading and developing teams with a growing enterprise. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, confidence leading meetings, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and teammates. This position directly supervises the Multifamily Design Team and Estimating Team and works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Executive Management. This is what you would be doing:
- Leading & managing design / engineering teams that produce project shop drawings;
- Leading & managing estimating teams that produce project quotes;
- Representing QuickTie in interactions with customers, framers, installers, architects, contractors, and building officials;
- Contributing to new product development, software development, and other technical matters;
- Assuring quality & accuracy of estimates, shop drawings, submittals and take-offs;
- Owning multifamily projects (by, for example, leading weekly meetings to move projects forward and set priorities for shipments);
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers; helping sales close contracts on outstanding quotes;
“Other” duties:
- Contributing to the following: developing annual business plans, forecasting division revenue, managing department budgets, improving profitability, hiring and firing, developing talent, building scalable processes, developing KPIs, working closely with sales and executive management;
- Performing other related duties, functions, and services as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High proficiency with design software (Revit and/or CAD)
- Experience leading technical design and estimating teams
- Wood-frame multifamily experience
- Deep understanding of architectural, structural and truss plans
- Experience with structural connectors, wood framing hardware, or delegated design systems (Simpson, MiTek, QuickTie or similar)
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with particular emphasis on Excel
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
Salary Range:
- The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 annually depending on experience.
A pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.
