Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring the seamless execution of food service in a fast-paced environment. Your leadership and culinary expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences, whether in our fine dining setting or catering events.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
Assist in menu planning and food presentation to elevate guest experiences in fine dining or catering settings.
Support management in inventory control and food handling processes to minimize waste and optimize cost control measures.
Oversee dietary department requirements and ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and special requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations and safety standards.
Support food service management by coordinating with front-of-house teams during service hours, including serving and bartending when necessary.
Implement food management strategies that enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure adequate stock for upcoming shifts or events.

Experience

Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining or catering backgrounds.
Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices.
Experience with banquet services, catering events, or large-scale food production is highly desirable.
Strong background in menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen management systems.
Familiarity with dietary requirements and managing special dietary needs within a culinary context.
Previous roles involving restaurant management or food service leadership are advantageous.
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and delivering excellent customer service.
