Full Job Description

5-star rated event venue that has built and maintained an impeccable reputation on food based on the foundation of consistency.

No cook-to-order, all food orders and quantities will be pre-determined and pre-ordered. Manages all food production for weddings, banquets, and events based on following recipes developed over seventeen years ago. Oversees all supervisory and management responsibilities. Duties include, but not limited to, menu development with clients, ordering, scheduling, hiring, staffing, training, and responsible for developing and monitoring food and labor budgets for the kitchen. Also, works to maintain the best in food quality and sanitary standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works closely with Executive Chef & Banquet manager (front of house) to execute overall mission of excellence in food and service.
Maintains ongoing training and employee development.
Works with our Executive Chef to cook and oversee the execution and presentation of food provided to guests attending weddings, events, etc.
Works diligently to maintain a clean and safe environment (kitchen) to work in.
Works with management and marketing to create public events involving food and wine.
Flexible schedule to meet shifting demands.
Most weekend availability is mandatory.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be fast-moving and quick on your feet
Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instruction & recipes
Ability to be punctual and reliable.
Treats co-workers, other managers, senior management, etc. with respect and can take constructive criticism in a positive manner.
Refrains from insubordination and any negative or disrespectful behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS

Food service experience preferred, but we will train the right person. Pay based on experience and/or performance.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
