Full Job Description

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Orthopedic ASC

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The CST will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures, primarily focused on orthopedic specialties including total joint replacements, sports medicine, podiatry, spine surgeries, and pain management interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly and efficiently.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
Collaborate with perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in turnover and cleaning of operating rooms between cases.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
BLS certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic surgery preferred; experience in total joints, spine, and pain procedures is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures specific to orthopedics.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced ASC environment with a focus on efficiency and patient safety.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, team-oriented ASC setting.
Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
