Licensed Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) – Remote – Florida
FLO Mortgage LLC is seeking an experienced Licensed Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to support our mortgage origination team.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have mortgage experience, know ARIVE, understand both broker and correspondent lending, and hold an active Florida Mortgage Loan Originator license through NMLS.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate must:
- Have hands-on experience working in ARIVE
- Have experience with both broker and correspondent lending
- Understand how to work with multiple wholesale and correspondent lenders
- Know lender portals, guidelines, matrices, overlays, pricing, conditions, and submission requirements
- Understand Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and other common mortgage programs
- Be comfortable reviewing borrower income, assets, credit, and supporting documentation
- Be able to manage multiple loans and deadlines without constant supervision
Responsibilities
- Review new loan applications and pre-approval files for completeness
- Collect and review borrower documentation
- Maintain accurate loan information, notes, documents, and tasks in ARIVE
- Prepare complete files for processing and lender submission
- Work with wholesale and correspondent lenders and their portals
- Track underwriting conditions, outstanding documents, and lender requests
- Monitor financing contingencies, appraisal deadlines, commitment dates, and closings
- Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, processors, underwriters, account executives, and closers
- Keep borrowers and referral partners updated throughout the loan process
- Identify potential problems early and immediately communicate them to the Loan Officer
- Maintain an organized pipeline and know the status of every assigned loan
Our Expectations
We need someone who is proactive and takes ownership of the pipeline.
You should be able to look at a loan file, understand what is missing, know what needs to happen next, and follow through without needing constant reminders.
We will train you on FLO Mortgage procedures, but we are not looking to train someone on the basics of mortgage lending, ARIVE, or broker/correspondent operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida MLO license through NMLS
- ARIVE experience
- Mortgage broker experience
- Correspondent lending experience
- Mortgage pipeline management experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace
