Full Job Description

CNC Machine Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Location: Fletcher, NC 28732

Skilled W-2 manufacturing work is available through Veryable at a precision metal-components facility in Fletcher, North Carolina.

This opportunity is best suited to candidates with recent hands-on experience operating CNC or other production machinery and inspecting their work with precision measuring tools.

Quick Details

Starting pay: $19.00 per hour
Higher rates may be approved based on documented skills and relevant experience
2nd shift: 3:15 PM start
3rd shift: 11:15 PM start
Each scheduled Op generally includes at least 8 paid hours
Weekly hours vary based on available Ops, production needs, and the Operator’s availability
Multiple Ops may be available during periods of high production demand, but a specific number of weekly hours is not guaranteed
30-minute unpaid break
Weekend availability is required
Paid 1.5-day facility orientation required before regular Ops

Experience We Are Looking For

Strong candidates will have recent experience in one or more of the following:

Operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, presses, borers, grinders, or similar production equipment
Using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, CMMs, or other precision measuring tools
Working with tolerances and inspecting completed parts
Reading manufacturing instructions, control plans, blueprints, or similar production documents
Completing fixture, tooling, or machine setup changes
Identifying and documenting nonconforming parts

Experience with welding, metal fabrication, automotive components, forklifts, or material handling may also be relevant.

When applying, clearly identify the machines and measuring tools you have used most recently.

Typical Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned work area, responsibilities may include:

Operate and adjust production machinery
Inspect metal components using precision measuring instruments
Follow work instructions and quality requirements
Complete fixture and tooling changes when qualified
Monitor dimensions and identify quality issues
Separate and document nonconforming material
Perform approved rework or equipment adjustments
Complete basic preventive-maintenance activities
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards

Basic Requirements

Relevant machine-operation or metal-manufacturing experience
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric measurements
Ability to lift approximately 20 to 40 pounds
Ability to stand for the duration of the scheduled work
Ability to perform repetitive hand motions
Steel-toed shoes
Reliable transportation to Fletcher, NC
Smartphone access for required Veryable app activity
At least 18 years old
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Availability for 2nd or 3rd shift
