Full Job Description

MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER

Summary: The Mortgage Loan Officer originates mortgage loans. The Mortgage Loan Officer is expected to demonstrate the Magnolia Mission, Purpose & Values.

Reports To: Mortgage LPO Branch Manager, or Mortgage Sales Manager

Expectations:

Originate mortgage loans using our incoming leads.
Comply with all Federal regulations concerning secondary market mortgage lending.
Collect financial and income documentation as required and provide complete packages to loan processors.
Provide customers with required documents to comply with bank regulations, including but not limited to Good Faith Estimates of closing costs, and other Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA) documents.
Develop business referral network through cold-calling, prospecting and local networking activities.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Bank’s secondary market policies and procedures.
Other bank policies and procedures as they apply to the secondary market lending function.
Secondary market lending process.
Investors’ guidelines.
State and federal regulations as they apply to secondary market mortgage lending.
Continuously set and achieve personal and corporate goals.
Work well independently as well as within a team environment.
Work well under pressure to consistently meet stated deadlines.
Communicate effectively with customers, investors, and co-workers.
Dedication to delivering excellent customer experiences.

Travel to necessary meetings, appointments, etc. outside the branch work environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

High School Diploma.
College courses relating to business, finance, and insurance is preferred.
Secondary Market lending experience.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email software and the use of the internet.

MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER:

Must have experience with Secondary Market software products such as LP & DU.

Mortgage Loan Originator
Senior Mortgage Loan Officer (Reflective of skill set and experience only, does not manager others)
Senior Mortgage Loan Originator (Reflective of skill set and experience only, does not manager others)

Hours:

Primarily, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Possible Overtime, Evening Hours, and Weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
