Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an MRI Manager, where you will lead and oversee the operation of our advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) department. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services by managing staff, maintaining equipment safety, and upholding patient safety standards. Your expertise will drive excellence in imaging procedures, foster a collaborative environment, and support continuous improvement in patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence clinical workflows and contribute to innovative diagnostic radiology practices.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily MRI department operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and workflow management for all MRI procedures.
Lead and mentor a team of radiologic technologists, providing ongoing training on MRI protocols, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
Oversee the proper use and maintenance of MRI scanners and related medical imaging equipment, adhering strictly to equipment safety procedures.
Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate accurate image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation.
Ensure compliance with patient safety regulations, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology standards during all imaging procedures.
Manage inventory of medical supplies including contrast agents used in MRI scans
Maintain detailed documentation within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), including patient records, incident reports, and quality assurance logs.
Conduct routine quality checks on MRI equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety for both patients and staff.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing departmental performance metrics and implementing best practices in diagnostic radiology.

Qualifications

Strong background in radiology or diagnostic evaluation
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and the principles of diagnostic radiology essential for effective image acquisition.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.
Proficiency in using PACS systems for image storage and retrieval; experience with medical equipment operation is required.
Basic life support (BLS) certification along with skills in IV insertion and patient safety protocols are necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients about procedures.
