Full Job Description

General Machine Kraft is a rapidly growing business in the CNC machining industry located in Phillipsburg, NJ. We specialize in Aerospace and Microwave manufacturing. We have an immediate opening for a CNC Mill Machinist. General Machine Kraft has been in business for over 30 years and offers a competitive salary, relocation package, contributory IRA, health insurance, dental insurance, and workers compensation.

Job Overview

The CNC Mill Machinist will be responsible for set up and operation of CNC machines with supervision. Work must be accurate while maintaining high levels of productivity. Inspection of work is required to maintain quality. Cooperation with other employees is imperative.

Job Requirements

Set-up and operate CNC HAAS machines efficiently to produce parts to customer blueprint specifications while adhering to quality and safety standards under director supervision.
Use of proper measuring instruments to verify that parts are meeting specification and quality standards, prior to first piece inspection.
Manage multiple machines at one time while keeping a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Must be able to perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines.
Refer any issues regarding the machines to senior leads or supervisors to assure compliance to company quality and safety regulations.

Experience/Requirements

2-5 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and operational sheets.
Understanding of tooling (endmills, drill bit, speeds, and feeds) for relevant material utilized.
Must be able to read and convert decimals and fractions on blueprints.
Possesses excellent visual acuity required for detailed inspections.
Must be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and communicate issues in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge of or experience with Autodesk PartMaker, G-Code, and Mastercam preferred
