Full Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

· Troubleshoots production issues as it relates to the batching and filling of a given formula (i.e odor, color appearance - color matching process, finished product performance)

· Serve as the contact person for Incoming Quality Control team on verifying raw materials

· Interface with customers on behalf of Operations in collaboration with Partner Services (i.e. capabilities in packaging - wrap labels, special stickers, etc. – capabilities in viscous batches, capabilities in complex products)

· Translate from lab scale to production (i.e. innovations to production)

· Translate Tech Transfers from Facility to American Spraytech

· Perform comprehensive technical transfer management such as planning pilot, investigation of raw materials source (vendor vs manufacturer vs distributor), updates to chemist with findings, communication with customers in regards to tech transfer

· Translating Batch Sheets to Compounding Reports and Batch Procedures (depending on level of complexity) to communicate lab scale procedures to production scale material

· Responsible for building the manufacturing compounding procedure, using and translating it from the provided laboratory batch card instructions.

· Create and Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) & how-to guides on lab processes and procedures

· Develop and validate machine and line protocols.

· Always thinking in regards to process improvements on processes and equipment in the operational setting, and thereby improving product quality.

Skills:

· Effective and excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills

· Pays close attention to detail, works efficiently and manages time effectively

· Ability to work cross-functionally, specifically with the R&I and Operations teams

· Experience with and able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to production issues, writing SOPs for equipment, and scaling up products from the lab to production

· Familiarity with OTC drug validations, as well as writing and developing the IQ/OQ/PQ processes to qualify new equipment

· Committed to excellence

· Ability to wear safety gear such as eye glasses and other PPE

· Knowledge of cGMP requirements

· Knowledge of FDA requirements

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred

· 5+ years of Engineering experience in the Personal Care industry desired

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

· Strong attention to detail

· Knowledge of chemicals is a plus

Hours of Work: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Employee Type: Full-Time Exempt

*This position will be on-site 100%.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
