Full Job Description

At Smart Products USA, (www.smartproducts.com) our team manufactures custom check and pressure relief valves, along with air and liquid pumps, for just about any application across a wide range of industries. More specifically, we are focused on manufacturing high-quality, reliable custom products being made completely in the USA.

We are seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Mills River, NC. This is a full-time, benefited position that includes the following duties:

Assemble, test, and package valves (and pumps) following company procedure and ensuring high quality levels
Read work orders and corresponding procedure prior to beginning any assembly job to ensure right parts are being used and right steps are being taken
Review parts to make sure there are no defects, gather necessary tools and assemble parts as needed to fulfill work order
Troubleshoot and fix rejected items to ensure high quality level and compliance with specifications
Twist, bolt, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together as specified in the above work instructions
Apply labels
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate clearly in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement.
Must be able to read and understand written assembly instructions. Must be able to communicate clearly as needed on production and quality issues.
Must be able to understand written and spoken communication with Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and others as needed.
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions to the letter.
Ability to assemble small parts by hand and using tools when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
