Full Job Description

Cardiac Device Technician - Cardio - 40 Hours - Days

Eligible for Full-Time Benefits

Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Oversees device programming including the integration and reprogramming of devices and monitoring of patients. Responsibilities:

Educates patients regarding procedures. Addresses and communicates patient concerns regarding devices to physicians.
Administers, monitors and reprograms devices.
Maintains documentation of reported information and may perform additional clerical duties as assigned.
Maintains supply inventory.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma with 2 years' experience - associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Certified device technician who is familiar with reviewing cardiac device reports and alerts as well as reprogramming settings for the device preferred.
Experience with post op wound care preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
