FLSA Status: Part time, Hourly M-F, no weekends
Position Overview
A Senior Mover can be a lead-level role responsible for completing moves for our Senior clients from start to finish. This position combines physical labor with leadership, customer service, and problem‑solving. The Senior Mover ensures that every move is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Working with a moving and packing crew during packing, wrapping, loading, transporting, unloading and setting up the new home.
Ensuring proper lifting techniques, safety procedures, and customer service practices.
Perform complex moving tasks, including disassembling and reassembling furniture, maneuvering large or fragile items, and operating moving equipment.
Conduct pre‑move walkthroughs with customers to confirm inventory, identify special‑care items, and set expectations.
Post Move walk throughs to ensure all placement is correct and tools, supplies and other non-client items are removed
Ensure proper packing and protection of furniture, appliances, and valuables.
Operate company vehicles with a valid Chauffer’s license and DOT physical, including box trucks, safely and in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
Resolve on‑site challenges, such as tight stairways, unexpected obstacles, or customer concerns.
Complete paperwork and digital documentation, including inventory sheets, time logs, and damage reports.
Maintain equipment and vehicles, reporting issues promptly.
Experience driving a diesel 26 ft truck with liftgate.
Ability to travel out of state
Represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout the move.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Clean criminal back ground check
1 years’ experience driving 26-foot box trucks required for drivers.
Valid clean driver’s license; Chauffer’s is required.
Proven ability to lift 75–100 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong knowledge of packing techniques, furniture handling, and moving equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to problem‑solve quickly and make decisions under pressure.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Seniors a plus.
Familiarity with long-distance or interstate moves a plus.
Basic mechanical or handyman skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy items.
Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Available for various lengths of time per day as all jobs vary in length
