Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and drive the success of our civil construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be at the forefront of project planning, cost estimation, and execution oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise will help shape our project strategies, foster strong client relationships, and lead teams through complex construction endeavors with confidence and precision.

Responsibilities

Develop accurate and comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, incorporating all aspects of project costs including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
Lead the bidding process by negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining project profitability.
Coordinate with project teams to establish detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations that align with client expectations and company goals.
Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines, providing proactive solutions to any issues that arise.
Manage cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Review and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to clarify scope of work, deliverables, and payment terms.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication between design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating combined with strong project management skills; familiarity with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of construction processes, site management practices, and safety regulations within the construction industry.
Demonstrated ability in negotiation to secure advantageous contracts while fostering long-term relationships.
Excellent skills in cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management to maximize project profitability.
Prior hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and on-the-ground challenges.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
