Full Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in healthcare finance, gain exposure to hospital operations, and work closely with leadership on impactful financial initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the General Ledger
Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
Compile and analyze financial and statistical data
Support financial operations across clinics and home health entities
Partner with internal teams to support business and finance initiatives
Assist with audits, cost reports, and compliance processes
Work closely with leadership on special projects and financial analysis

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
2–3 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of:
- General Ledger accounting
- Financial reporting
- Reconciliations and month-end processes
Healthcare or hospital accounting experience
Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
