Full Job Description

Position Summary

B.H. Craig Construction is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily office operations and ensuring the front office provides exceptional service to employees, clients, vendors, and visitors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist with the preparation and submission of bid proposals and project documentation
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx
Coordinate outgoing mail and shipments
Provide administrative support to office staff and project managers
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional manner
Greet clients, vendors, and visitors and provide excellent customer service
Maintain front desk operations and ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and professional
Monitor and respond to general office email correspondence
Assist with filing, scanning, copying, and document management
Order and maintain office supplies as needed
Perform general clerical duties and assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous administrative, receptionist, or office support experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds
Ability to walk, stand, and perform routine office activities throughout the workday
