Leidos Defense is seeking several Software Engineers at various career levels to join a highly talented RF Systems Portfolio team located in Huntsville, AL. This portfolio supports radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and weapons system analysis across a diverse range of research, development, and operational programs.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, assignments may focus on one or more of the following areas:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software using Agile methodologies.
Develop tactical software for Leidos Defense radar systems.
Create modeling, simulation, and analysis toolsets supporting:
- Algorithm development
- Requirements development
- System testing
- Prototype radar system development
Test, analyze, and debug complex software systems across multiple architectures and operating systems.
Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting advanced RF and radar technologies.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software development or engineering.
Strong understanding of:
- Object-oriented design
- Data structures
- Network communications
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.
Must be a US citizen, possess an active secret clearance or able to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.
Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:
- C++
- Python
- Linux
- Git
- MATLAB
Familiarity with radar systems is a plus.

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
