Pediatric Dental Front Desk Multitasking position

About Our Office:

We are a fun, fast-paced pediatric dental office dedicated to creating positive experiences for children and families. We are looking for an energetic, organized, and team-oriented Front Desk employee who loves working with children, thrives in a busy environment, and is passionate about customer service and patient care.

Position Summary:

This position plays a key role in keeping our office running smoothly while helping families feel welcomed and supported from the moment they walk through the door. The ideal candidate is upbeat, dependable, detail-oriented, and confident handling insurance processes, patient accounts, and front office communication.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and parents with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm
Answer phones and assist families with scheduling appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and efficiently
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and unpaid accounts
Reprocess insurance claims when corrections or additional information are needed
Review patient ledgers and help maintain accurate account balances
Discuss financial responsibilities and treatment estimates with parents
Maintain organized patient records and update insurance information
Coordinate communication between clinical team members, parents, and insurance companies
Help maintain a positive, high-energy office atmosphere focused on exceptional customer service
Support daily office flow and contribute to a strong team cultureQualifications:
Previous dental front office and insurance experience required
Pediatric dental experience is a plus
Knowledge of PPO insurance plans, claims processing, and insurance follow-up
Experience posting payments and managing patient accounts
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Positive attitude with the ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Team player with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance
