Full Job Description

Do you have previous Service Writer experience at a dealership? Are you looking for a new start? A career? A place you can work where it feels like home? Bobcat Enterprises is a family company, with a great opportunity in Walton, KY. We are looking for a reliable individual with excellent customer service skills, who wants to grow with a strong, reputable company. We need an outgoing and efficient individual to receive customer calls with requests for service and work with the customers to determine the service needed. We also need you to work with our field service technicians dispatching to customer locations in an efficient manner and handle warranty. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years’ experience in customer service in an industrial setting, good computer skills and excellent communication skills. We offer competitive wages and benefits.

* MUST have at least 2 years of experience in Service Writing*

Job Duties:

Gather information to determine the type of service needed (i.e., type of repair, parts required and deadline for completion of repair) and estimate time required for service, based on information and experience.
Work with service to provide quote to customer and sell the needed repair to the customer.
Determine customer’s status on payment by researching whether the machine is under warranty or if the customer is cash only, what the customer’s credit limit is, etc. Tell customer if they are COD.
Coordinate the unloading of and check in customer equipment needing service.
Invoice, open and process work orders, including changing it to add segments as needed. Track open work orders.
File warranty claims and track warranty credits for both Reynoldsburg Branch.
Receive customer equipment; write packing slips; get all information needed.
Discuss with the customer the service needed.
Coordinate the unloading of equipment and check in.
Track customer and cost of sale jobs in the shop.
Call customers when work is completed.
Help maintain favorable customer relations.
Act as the liaison between the customers and the service technician.
Utilize basic computer skills, including using the Internet for dealer and manufacturers Websites and obtaining service bulletins.
Work with Sales Coordinator if needed specifically on tracking incoming equipment and ensuring control numbers are properly issued and handled.
Assist if needed on wholegoods inventory.
Follow safety rules and correct unsafe conditions or practices in his/her area.
Cover for Parts and/or Rental Counter Specialists as needed.
Work other hours and duties as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years, Service Writing experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Reliable and demonstrated follow-through abilities
Strong problem solving and customer relations skills
Excellent oral and written communication skill
Computer literate and experience in PC/mainframe applications a plus
Knowledge of our product lines and their applications preferred.
Previous experience in counter sales or customer service and/or dispatching helpful.
