Full Job Description

(EmployReward Solutions) partners with the Social Security Administration as a federal contractor under the Ticket to Work Program (https://www.ssa.gov/work/). We serve as a support system and resource for people with disabilities aiming to reenter the workplace or find employment for the first time, with the goal of achieving financial independence.

Seeking candidates to fill a Full-Time Career Development Specialist position, Monday-Friday.

This position is the first connection a potential “Ticketholder” will be in contact with, when exploring the services provided by ERS and the Ticket to Work program. It is imperative for the person filling this position to demonstrate empathy and patience, while offering clear and positive information.

Available shift hours: 9AM-6PM available

RESPONSIBILITIES

Explain the Ticket to Work program and Social Security benefits to potential program participants referred to as “Leads”. After signup they are referred to as “Ticketholders."

Handle high-volume (i.e. minimum of 150 calls) of inbound/outbound calls/texts/emails each day.

Conduct suitability screening for the Ticket to Work program to ensure a strong lead match. If not suitable for Ticket to Work program, the lead is referred to other programs and/or provided guidance on other potentially suitable programs.

Identify the lead’s needs through active listening to generate interest, establish eligibility, and determine service needs (e.g., resume writing, interest assessments, creating job search accounts)

Document lead’s needs, scheduling follow-up appointments, interactions, direct calls to Career Coaches, Individual Work Plan (IWP) and outcomes in Phoenix.

Ensure the lead’s understanding of all program protections and services offered by the program by asking questions regarding understanding the program.

Verifying and protecting personal identifying information through email.

Conduct additional online research and review Social Security guidelines.

Creating a “WOW” factor in every interaction through exceptional communication skills and taking ownership of the interaction.

Consistently meet key performance indicators (minimum # of calls, 85 audit score of quality and a minimum of 18 IWPs per month)

Provide encouragement to each potential candidate by providing information and active listening.

Cybersecurity training as required.

Participate in annual update training regarding changes in Social Security program.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Able to work and succeed in a call center environment.

Customer service experience in a call center environment preferred.

Must be able to pass a background check and security clearance through Social Security.

Prior Outbound/Inbound marketing experience

Teamwork environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral/written)

Microsoft proficient in use of Word, Excel, PDF files; ability to navigate with dual monitors.

Strong data entry and typing skills.

Ability to multi-task, meet goals, objectives, and expectations.

Flexibility, attention to detail, and time management.

Strategic decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle calls to/from individuals with physical or mental disabilities.

Demonstrates passion, articulate, empathy, patience, and caring.

Research skills for career mapping.

EDUCATION

Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Business or related field)

High School Diploma or GED required.

PREFERRED

Ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with disabilities
Passionate, articulate, empathetic, patient, and caring
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
