Job Summary

Part-Time Administrative Specialist – The Housing Authority of Florence is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Specialist to provide administrative support to the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Department. This is a temporary, part-time position working 28 hours per week for an approximately 90-day assignment.

The Administrative Specialist will assist the Housing Choice Voucher Department with administrative and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the HCV Program. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

● Provide clerical and administrative support to HCV staff.

● Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and assist walk-in clients.

● Prepare, scan, file, and maintain participant and landlord records.

● Enter and update information in housing management software and Microsoft Office applications.

● Schedule appointments and assist with applicant and participant correspondence.

● Process mail and maintain accurate records.

● Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Experience

Minimum Qualifications

● High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

● Minimum of two years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in public housing, government, or a professional office environment.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional customer service.

Pay: $11.50 - $14.00 per hour
