Full Job Description

Job Overview
Senior Care of Marion Nursing Home is seeking to fill a Baylor position (work 24 hours paid for 32 hours) RN Weekend Supervisor with a dedicated RN to oversee patient care and staff management during weekend shifts. This leadership role requires a highly skilled registered nurse with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including long-term care, acute care, and specialized senior care. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintain compliance with healthcare standards, and foster a collaborative team environment. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, medical documentation, and clinical procedures is essential to effectively supervise nursing operations and support staff. Duties

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
Oversee medication administration, catheter care, tube feeding, and other clinical procedures with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
Manage complex cases involving dementia care, behavioral health, geriatrics, and patients memory impairments.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently; implement sterilization and sterile processing procedures.
Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as PCC, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
Coordinate discharge planning, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans aligned with NCQA standards.
Provide leadership in emergency situations
Facilitate team management activities including staff scheduling, evaluations, and ongoing education related to ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and utilization review.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including OSHA standards; promote infection control practices and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Valid RN license with current registration; prior supervisory or nurse management experience preferred.
Extensive clinical background in senior care, long-term care facilities, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy/physiology knowledge required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations accurately.
Excellent communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, social workers, and support staff.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations involving acute pain management or trauma response confidently.
