Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Food Service General Manager to lead our hospitality team. Candidates must have experience in an institutional setting such as hospital, senior living, college, or school.

In this role, you'll oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, excellent customer experiences, and efficient management of staff and resources. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, hospitality, and team leadership, with a knack for managing fast-paced environments and maintaining high standards of food safety and service quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive success in a dynamic food service setting.

Duties

Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to meet safety standards and quality expectations.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies, and managing food costs to maximize profitability.
Train and develop staff on food safety practices, food production techniques, and customer service excellence.
Monitor financial performance by analyzing profit and loss statements, budgeting, and implementing cost-control measures.
Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all restaurant areas.

Requirements

Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management with a strong background in quick service or casual dining environments.
Hands-on knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Experience with inventory control, food safety management, and budgeting processes.
Strong communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, training, and team leadership.
Familiarity with culinary techniques including food preparation, cooking methods, and food handling procedures.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
