Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented ABA Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing and coding processes related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement from insurance providers. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycles, improve cash flow, and support the delivery of quality care. About the Role

ABA Path is seeking an experienced ABA Billing Specialist to join our billing team. This is a temp-to-hire position, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role based on performance, reliability, and company needs.

The preferred candidate will have direct experience with ABA therapy billing and Florida insurance payers, including Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.

This position is preferably on-site in Tampa, Florida. Remote candidates may be considered only if they have 4+ years of direct ABA therapy billing experience.

Please note: This is not an entry-level administrative role. We are specifically seeking candidates with ABA billing and/or ABA authorization experience.

Responsibilities include:

Submitting ABA therapy claims accurately and on time.
Following up on unpaid claims, denials, rejections, and aging A/R.
Posting payments and reviewing EOBs.
Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.
Submitting and tracking ABA authorizations.
Communicating with insurance payers regarding billing and authorization issues.
Assisting with credentialing tasks as needed.
Maintaining accurate billing and authorization records.

Required Qualifications:

Direct ABA therapy billing and/or authorization experience.
Knowledge of ABA CPT codes, claims, authorizations, and payer follow-up.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Florida Medicaid and Florida commercial payers.
Experience with Aloha, Motivity, or similar systems.
Credentialing experience.
2+ years of ABA billing experience preferred.

Important Note:

This is not an entry-level administrative position. Candidates with only front desk, data entry, scheduling, or general medical office experience may not be the best fit unless they also have direct ABA billing or authorization experience.

Benefits:

Benefits are available for eligible employees; however, this role is still classified as a temp-to-hire position during the initial employment period.

ABA Path is a growing ABA therapy practice serving children with autism and their families. We are looking for someone who understands ABA billing, payer follow-up, authorizations, and the importance of accuracy in the billing process.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
