Full Job Description

JOB
This is an OPS position limited to 10 hours per week for non-certified individuals seeking a career in fire rescue. The position observes fire-fighting, fire prevention and patient care work in rendering pre-hospital life support functions, other emergency care, and rescue services. Duties include training and observation of the Fire/Rescue service under the direct supervision of a senior EMT/Firefighter.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Observes and trains on firefighting activities including operating related fire equipment, laying hose.Responds to fire, emergency and non-emergency calls under the supervision of a senior EMT/Firefighter.Cooperates with other personnel assigned to apparatus as a team.Is responsible for the stocking of supplies, inventory, and the cleaning of apparatus, equipment, and the station.Completes daily inventory according to established procedures.Maintains apparatus, keeps it clean and orderly, and in proper operating condition. (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job related marginal duties as required.)
