VOARVUE Media · Tampa Bay, FL (travel considered) · Part-time to start, path to full-time · 1099 or W2
About VOARVUE
VOARVUE Media is the in-house media production and marketing team for independent yacht brokers, brokerages, and charter companies — we don't just point a camera at boats, we help our clients look as established and professional as the biggest names in yachting. Our work is cinematic, our clients trust us on their docks and their decks, and we take that trust seriously — on every shoot, our team helps stage the boat, assists with launch, and does whatever it takes to make a high-stress day on the water feel effortless for the client.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced videographer and drone operator to join VOARVUE as our first dedicated shooter. You'll be behind the camera and behind the controls — capturing cinematic video and photo on location at marinas, docks, and open water — and handing your footage off to our editing team to bring to life. This role starts part-time, project by project, with a real path to full-time as we grow.
This is a shooting role, not an editing role. You capture it; our editor takes it from there.
What You'll Do
- Shoot cinematic listing video and professional photography on location — boats, marinas, docks, and on-water
- Fly drone footage (stationary and running/dynamic shots) around vessels, structures, and other boats — safely and confidently, every time
- Help stage the boat, assist with launch from dock or trailer, and support the client on-site — being an extra pair of hands on a high-stress day is part of the job, not an exception to it
- Deliver organized, complete footage and photo sets to our editing team per each shoot's brief
- Follow FAA Part 107 regulations and standard pre-flight/LAANC airspace procedures on every flight
What You Need
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate — required, no exceptions
- Comfortable on boats and on the water — this isn't a studio job
- Genuine skill flying drones around moving objects, structures, and other vessels — avoiding hazards while still getting the shot is the actual test of this role, not a checkbox
- A quality bar that meets our standard. We care more about what you can produce than how many years you've been doing it — if you're at 1–2 years and your reel proves you can shoot at our level, we want to talk to you. 3–5 years of experience is ideal but not a requirement if the work speaks for itself
- Your own gear is a strong plus — we shoot on Sony bodies and DJI Mavic 3 Pro; if you're not fully equipped, we can help get you set up
- Based in or near Tampa Bay preferred; open to candidates willing to travel for shoots
Compensation
Day-rate, based on experience and shoot length:
- Half-day shoot (4–6 hrs): $250–450
- Full-day shoot (6–8 hrs): $450–750
Starts part-time/per-project with a genuine path to a full-time role as volume grows.
How to Apply
Send us:
- Your resume or a short summary of your experience
- A demo reel or portfolio link — required. This is a visual role; we need to see your actual work, not just hear about it. Marine, boating, or on-water footage is a strong plus, but not required if your general work is strong.
- Confirmation of your current FAA Part 107 status
- Your general availability and whether you're based in the Tampa Bay area or would be traveling in
Pay: $40.00 - $80.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Professional development assistance
