Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and innovative sushi dishes, ensuring each plate meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, knife skills, and attention to detail will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a vibrant environment dedicated to excellence and creativity.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all kitchen areas
Develop new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to keep menus fresh and exciting
Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours
Educate team members on sushi preparation techniques and culinary best practices
Adhere to all health regulations and company policies related to food preparation and safety

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within Japanese cuisine or fine dining establishments
Strong knife skills with the ability to prepare fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently
Knowledge of sushi rice preparation, fish handling, and presentation techniques
Experience working with seafood and understanding of proper storage and safety procedures
Ability to develop creative sushi recipes and adapt to customer preferences
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authenticity, quality, and innovation
