Full Job Description

Positions Located in either Orlando, FL Corporate Office or Fort Lauderdale, FL Regional Office.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Roofing Project Manager / Superintendent to oversee complex roofing projects from award through closeout. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.

In this role, you will coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver successful roofing projects across diverse commercial, industrial, municipal, education, healthcare, and specialty environments. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, general contractors, architects, manufacturers, inspectors, and our internal field staff—ensuring each project is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with specifications, manufacturer requirements, and code.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Lead all phases of commercial roofing projects, including submittals, pre-construction planning, scheduling, production management, and closeout.
Review project scope, drawings, specifications, addenda, contracts, and manufacturer requirements to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project deliverables.
Develop detailed project schedules, manpower projections, equipment plans, safety plans, and material procurement timelines.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost codes, change orders, and job cost forecasts.

Field & Operations Oversight

Coordinate daily with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to ensure efficient production and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and confirm installation aligns with plans, specs, and manufacturer details.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety protocols, fall-protection standards, and jobsite-specific safety requirements.

Material & Equipment Management

Manage procurement and timely delivery of roofing materials, equipment, cranes, dumpsters, lifts, safety equipment, and specialty tools.
Track material usage and reconcile against budgets.
Coordinate manufacturer deliveries, inspections, and warranty requirements.

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

Source, evaluate, contract, and manage subcontractors for services such as sheet metal fabrication/installation, waterproofing, insulation, specialty coatings, and other project-specific scopes.
Ensure subcontractors meet schedules, quality expectations, and safety requirements.

Client, GC & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, GCs, architects, consultants, inspectors, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
Lead OAC meetings, progress meetings, QC walks, and manufacturer inspections.
Provide timely project updates, schedules, documentation, and responses to RFIs and CO requests.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed project documentation including daily logs, safety reports, meeting minutes, subcontractor correspondence, and material delivery receipts.
Manage pay applications, lien releases, change order logs, and project cost reports.
Oversee closeout packages including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, and manufacturer documentation.

Quality Control & Warranty Compliance

Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, building codes, contract documents, and company standards.
Coordinate manufacturer inspections, punch lists, and warranty certifications.
Proactively manage QA/QC to minimize rework and warranty claims.

Experience & QualificationsRequired

3–5+ years of experience managing commercial roofing projects (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified, BUR, Standing Seam Metal, Coatings, Waterproofing, etc.).
Strong understanding of commercial roofing installation, production sequencing, jobsite logistics, and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret roof plans, details, specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents.
Experience creating and managing project schedules, budgets, submittals, and change orders.
Proven ability to lead field crews and subcontractors across multiple active projects.
Proficiency in construction management software (AccuLynx, ServiceTitan, Procore, FCS, or similar).
Excellent communication skills for interacting with GCs, owners, architects, and internal teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve field issues quickly and effectively.

Preferred

Experience in high-visibility or complex environments (airports, theme parks, hospitals, schools, higher education, industrial facilities).
Working knowledge of Florida Building Code (FBC) and high-wind zone roof requirements.
Familiarity with insurance-related roofing projects, moisture mapping, testing, and documentation.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
