Full Job Description

Job Title: MEMBER SERVICES MANAGER

Classification: Managerial (M)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is highly responsible work managing all services to Members and Customers related to natural gas requirements, capacity management and other natural gas related projects. Position must exercise considerable independent judgment and decision making under the general direction of the General Manager.

Essential Functions

· Responsible for the positive relationships and communications with Members, Customers, and outside third parties.

· Responsible for expanding FGU membership.

· Implement, perform, and monitor services to Members and Customers (sales & marketing, public awareness, project management, operational assistance, grant applications, etc.).

· Expand and develop new services to meet the needs of Members and Customers.

· Develop strategic third-party partners who can provide services that meet the various needs of Members.

· Responsible for contract management (includes all FGU & FGT contracts plus assisting Members with gas-related contracts).

· Responsible for all aspects of the FGU annual meeting.

· Assists General Manager in implementation of direction provided by the Board of Directors and/or Committees.

· Monitors and provides General Manager and Board of Directors with assessment of project results, including management scorecard and value-added information.

· Assist with FGU’s strategic plans, goals, and objectives.

· Responsible for personnel decisions within the department, including hiring, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and employee coaching.

· Directs, supervises and manages the activities and personnel within the department.

· Responsible for the development, implementation and operation of departmental employee training programs.

· Prepare agenda items for various FGU committees and Board of Directors Meetings.

· Participate in regulatory activities, including FGT and other pipeline filings.

· Monitor and participate in legislative activities, particularly in Florida.

· Actively participate in industry associations, including FNGA, FMNGA, and APGA.

· Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Public Relations, Engineering, Finance or Accounting or other related field; five (5) years’ experience in natural gas industry or another related field; or a combination of education and experience which will result in equivalent qualifications.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Good interpersonal, negotiating and communication skills, good analytical skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software or equivalent.

Essential Physical Skills and Environmental Conditions

Works mostly indoors in an office environment which requires: Acceptable vision, hearing (with or without correction) and speaking; Office equipment operations. Occasionally requires the employee to work outside in the heat/cold and often wet/humid conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
