Compensation: (Based on dialysis leadership experience)

Position Summary

A growing outpatient dialysis organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with dialysis leadership experience to support clinical quality, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and patient safety.

This leadership position partners with executive leadership, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to promote high-quality patient care, strengthen clinical outcomes, support staff development, and maintain compliance with all CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced dialysis RN leader who enjoys mentoring staff, improving clinical outcomes, and maintaining a strong presence on the treatment floor.

Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership

Maintain an active leadership presence on the treatment floor through daily clinical rounding.
Support nurses and patient care technicians during routine operations and high-acuity patient situations.
Monitor patient safety and promote adherence to dialysis standards of care.
Assist with patient scheduling and staffing coordination to ensure safe staffing ratios.
Collaborate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Dietitians, Social Workers, Biomedical staff, and Administration.

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance

Lead Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
Monitor and trend clinical performance indicators.
Assist with CMS survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
Participate in policy development and implementation.
Conduct clinical audits and develop corrective action plans.
Monitor documentation accuracy and completion.

Clinical Outcomes Management

Monitor and evaluate:

Anemia Management
Albumin Management
Mineral Bone Disease (Calcium, Phosphorus, iPTH)
Kt/V
Fluid Management
Vascular Access Management
Infection Prevention
Hospitalizations
Missed Treatments
Transplant Referrals
Vaccination Compliance
CIPA/Plan of Care follow-up
Grievance tracking

Clinical Operations

Review daily treatment reports and operational dashboards.
Monitor critical laboratory values and ensure timely follow-up.
Review medication utilization and anemia medication management.
Monitor physician orders for completion.
Review admission and discharge activity.
Support emergency preparedness activities.
Participate in root cause analyses and quality improvement initiatives.

Staff Development

Coach and mentor clinical staff.
Assist with orientation and competency validation.
Support annual skills assessments.
Promote accountability and teamwork.
Participate in performance coaching as appropriate.

Communication

Communicate effectively with physicians, leadership, patients, and families.
Escalate significant clinical concerns appropriately.
Foster collaboration among interdisciplinary team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Florida Registered Nurse license.
Minimum three (5) years dialysis experience.
Minimum one (3-5) year dialysis leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage.
Experience with dialysis quality programs (QAPI).
Knowledge of anemia management protocols.
Knowledge of vascular access management.
Knowledge of infection prevention practices.
Experience reviewing clinical reports and quality indicators.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Current BLS certification.
