Full Job Description

Summary of Position Mission

The Deburring Operator is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections from metal components used in the production of firearms at the Canik USA manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of gun parts by preparing them for assembly and finishing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled with hand and power tools, and knowledgeable in metalworking techniques.

Responsibilities

· Perform deburring, sanding, grinding, and polishing of metal components to remove sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections.

· Inspect parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

· Operate and maintain hand tools, grinders, and deburring machines.

· Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address defects or discrepancies in parts.

· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Document work performed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.

Qualifications & Knowledge Required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · 3 years’ experience in deburring or metal finishing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metalworking or machining is a plus.

· Proficiency with hand and power tools, including grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

· Knowledge of safety practices and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to work independently as well as with a team; "hands on" as necessary.

· Capable of operating in an evolving and often unstructured environment.

· Ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly.

· Excellent attention to detail.

Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal manufacturing equipment. No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
