Summary

The registered dietitian utilizes the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition intervention, and monitor the nutrition status and progress of patients. The registered dietitian uses the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance for registered dietitians. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Shift: Days Shifts

The role you’ll contribute: The registered dietitian utilizes the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition intervention, and monitor the nutrition status and progress of patients.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Assessment- Completes nutrition focused physical assessments, takes measurements,
reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, utilizes validated tools, evaluates
anthropometric status, and calculates estimated comparative standards.

· Diagnosis- Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems,
criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and/or high-risk health
behaviors.

· Intervention- Offers nutrition recommendations, orders, education/counselling, and/or
referral to other services.

· Education and Counselling- Provides counseling and education that reflects appropriate
health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes that require
nutritional management. Uses evidenced based theories and concepts to include
transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and experience listed for levels below.

Current active Florida registered dietitian status with Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Level I:Bachelor's degree in nutrition or nutrition related field
Level II:Bachelor's degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and 3-year clinical experience

OR Graduate degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and 1-year clinical experience

Level III:Bachelor's degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and 10-year clinical experience

OR Graduate degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and 8-year clinical experience
OR Post-Graduate degree in nutrition or nutrition related field and 4-year clinical e

As a Dietitian you will work closely with clients to develop and implement nutrition plans that promote overall wellness. You'll use your extensive knowledge of food and nutrition to support our team of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who are expertly trained in other areas of medicine. The right candidate will have prior experience in the healthcare industry, an interest in nutrition and the ability to create a plan to promote complete wellness for your clients.

Responsibilities:

Explain the relationship between the food we eat and overall health.
Understand that people have different nutritional needs.
Observe people eating in order to identify potential problems with their diets.
Advise clients about diet and lifestyle changes to improve their health.
Manage time effectively for administrative and clinical tasks.

Interact with clients and colleagues in a manner that promotes good relationships.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
