Full Job Description

The Clinical Reimbursement Director is responsible for the coordination of the “Resident Assessment Instrument” process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other payor program requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all Clinical Reimbursement Specialists whether directly or indirectly in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for hiring, selection, training and coaching employees.

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of the RAI Regulations Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes (Federal, and/or State Regulations)

SKILLS: Effective verbal, written and communication skills Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

ABILITIES: The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Ability to work in a “Matrix” management environment The ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other facility staff. Possess special interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet) One to three years of professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Registered Nurse (RN)
