Full Job Description

EXECUTIVE CHEF to open and lead an exciting new upscale authentic Greek & Western Mediterranean Restaurant in booming Boca Raton, FL!

* Incredible Opportunity to OPEN and run this exciting new restaurant; Build and lead your own team; and make your mark in the local culinary scene.

* Culinary Freedom: Create & develop the Menu, recipes, nightly specials, Chef’s Tasting Dinners, seasonal updates, Special Events, etc.

* Lead all BOH operations. Have real input on hiring, training, systems, culinary direction, and overall BOH operations.

* Quality of Life Balance: Just 5-day; 45-50 hour weeks (after initial opening period).

* Strong Compensation: Generous Salary + Bonuses, Benefits, and more – plus tremendous opportunities for advancement and growth!

* Upscale western Mediterranean Focus – Mainly Greek, plus Italian, Spanish, Turkish, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· HEAD CHEF (Executive, Executive Sous, Chef de Cuisine) experience with upscale, high-volume operations.

· Authentic GREEK and Western Mediterranean cuisine expertise.

· CULINARY CREATIVITY. Able to create Nightly Specials, Chef’s Tastings menus, Private Event Menus, Seasonal Updates, Holiday specials, etc.

· KITCHEN Management: Strong expediting, multi-tasking, financial management, cost controls, projections, etc. Hands-on & hard-working. Strong work ethic and personal commitment to excellence.

· Proven ability to ensure smooth kitchen operations, consistency, absolute cleanliness, and overall excellence. A Team leader who mentors others, runs a happy crew, and motivates by example.

· Polished & Professional, who presents well in public. Strong communication skills (English). Bilingual a plus, but NOT required.

· Stable track record with solid professional references. Willing and able to pass background test and/or drug screening if requested.

· Able to start ASAP!

ALSO Preferred (but NOT required): New Restaurant OPENING experience. Culinary degree. Strong corporate training & structure. Special Events & Parties experience. Solid Wine knowledge, able to work with Sommelier to create special Wine Dinners, etc. Bilingual. Lives nearby, and already familiar with the Boca Raton market, with established local contacts.
