Full Job Description

Overview

An established and highly respected neurology practice located in Miami, with more than 25 years of service in the community is seeking a Neurologist to join its team and become the future physician leader of the practice.

The current physician and practice owner is preparing for retirement and is seeking the right physician to transition into the practice. To ensure a smooth and successful transition, the current physician will remain actively involved for approximately one year, working alongside the incoming physician to provide training, mentorship, and continuity of care.

This is a unique opportunity for a neurologist to join an established practice with an existing patient base, experienced operations, and the opportunity to gradually assume the responsibilities of the retiring physician.

Duties

Conduct thorough neurological examinations and assessments to diagnose complex neurological disorders.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management, botulinum toxin treatments, and perioperative care strategies.
Utilize medical imaging techniques such as CT scans, MRI, and diagnostic radiology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties including cardiology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, radiology, and rehabilitation services to optimize patient outcomes.
Manage inpatient and outpatient care settings, ensuring comprehensive patient service from initial assessment through discharge planning.
Maintain detailed medical records using EMR/EHR systems like Epic to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance neurology practices and contribute to ongoing medical education efforts.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
Post-residency experience in neurology or related fields such as neurocritical care or pediatric neurology.
Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic), medical imaging tools, and diagnostic radiology techniques.
Strong knowledge of physiology, neuroanatomy, and pharmacology relevant to neurological conditions.
Experience with advanced procedures including neurocritical care management, spinal taps, catheterization, and ventilator management.
Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as anesthesiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and family medicine.
Excellent communication skills for patient care consultations and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Commitment to ongoing professional development through clinical research or specialized training in areas like pain medicine or immunology is preferred.
