Lead Designer / Production Designer – Landscape Architecture

David M. Jones, Jr. & Associates, Inc. (DMJA), an established Landscape Architecture and Planning firm in Fort Myers, Florida, is seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Architect to join our growing studio.
This position is intended for a candidate with 3+ years of professional experience who is detail-oriented and is ready to help strengthen our production team and improve project delivery.
Position Overview:
This role focuses on keeping projects moving efficiently from design through completion. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving, producing accurate work, managing details, and helping a team deliver projects on time.
This position will support our licensed Landscape Architect and help improve workflow, communication, and turnaround times.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare landscape plans, planting plans. amenity plans, and presentation graphics
- Coordinate project production with the Principal Landscape Architect
- Help maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and municipal reviewers
- Review drawings for quality, accuracy, and permit compliance
- Assist with project problem-solving throughout design and permitting
- Contribute ideas that improve studio workflow and project delivery
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of landscape architecture/design experience preferred
- Strong production and technical skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and landscape design documentation
- Experience with Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or rendering software is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional communication skills
