Full Job Description

Salary: $55k - 60k per year + bonus

Bank on Brickell is seeking an experienced Loan Operations Specialist to join its team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented banking professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of commercial loan servicing, loan accounting, and operational controls.

As a key member of the Loan Operations team, you will support the full lifecycle of commercial loans, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Process new commercial loan bookings, fundings, renewals, modifications, extensions, and ongoing loan maintenance.
Process loan payments, advances, revolving and non-revolving draws, escrow disbursements, and collateral setup.
Perform daily and month-end loan accounting, general ledger reconciliations, and balancing of loan-related accounts.
Administer SBA servicing activities, including monthly Form 1502 reporting.
Maintain loan documentation, imaging, tickler systems, and loan safekeeping records.
Prepare official checks, remittances, credit reference letters, audit confirmations, and other servicing documentation.
Partner with Lending, Credit, Relationship Management, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate loan servicing.
Support operational initiatives, process improvements, and special projects while maintaining strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

2+ years of commercial Loan Operations experience within a bank.
Strong knowledge of commercial loan servicing, loan accounting, payment processing, and general ledger reconciliations.
Experience with SBA loan servicing, escrow administration, and loan documentation is highly desirable.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
