Full Job Description

Our signature service is delivering funding quickly and conveniently to needy businesses through a merchant cash advance. Underwriter Position

Summary of the Position:

Underwrite cash advances and business loans in accordance with company guidelines
Analyze data including business financials, bank statements, credit card statements, credit reports, and tax returns
Determine credit worthiness and approval amounts
Evaluate and provide recommendations for guideline exceptions

Our ideal candidate would have between 1 and 4 years of experience, preferably with a financial services company. They would be inquisitive, highly trainable, and be extremely thorough in their work. Our job is to evaluate and mitigate risk, thus “detail oriented” is not just a catchphrase.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business related)
Ability to analyze and interpret business financials
Must be detailed oriented with solid analytical skills
Minimum experience: strong internships within a reputable corporate environment or a graduate degree within an analytical field
Strong communication skills as this role will involve communicating with clients

Highly preferred:

Credit training/ underwriting experience within commercial lending
Commercial lending (cash advances & loans)
Strong financial acumen
