Position Summary
We are seeking responsible, energetic, and passionate individuals to join our team as Cook.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and executing CFS menu items at your assigned station while maintaining our standards for quality, speed, presentation, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to CFS recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Operate assigned kitchen stations, including grill, cold station, assembly, or oven, based on operational needs.
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, fully stocked, and properly set up throughout your shift.
- Prepare orders quickly, accurately, and consistently.
- Coordinate ticket timing with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.
- Properly apply FIFO rotation, food labeling, and preparation/expiration date controls.
- Record and report waste, product loss, inventory shortages, recipe deviations, and equipment issues.
- Assist with food preparation, receiving and storing deliveries, restocking supplies, and deep cleaning duties.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members and store leadership.
- Participate in CFS training programs and professional development activities.
Requirements
- One (1) year or more of experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen position.
- Valid Food Handler Certification.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, operating procedures, and food safety standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in restaurants, cafés, or food service operations.
- Knowledge of mise en place, portion control, waste reduction, and FIFO inventory rotation.
- ServSafe Certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
