We are receiving a very high volume of applications, but over 95% do not meet our requirements. To respect everyone’s time, we are being extremely clear and transparent:
This role has very specific requirements. If you do not fully meet all of the following criteria, you are not a fit for this position, and we kindly ask that you do not apply.
Hard Requirements:

Compensation Clarification (Fully Transparent):

- To earn $30–$32 per hour as your base wage, you must have direct HR and business operations experience specifically in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy private practices.
- This is not a general HR role. We are a consulting firm that specializes exclusively in OT/PT/SLP private practices, and we need someone who has lived and breathed this exact specialty from the inside.

Who We Are
Wellness Works Management Partners (WWMP) is a national boutique practice management company that specializes exclusively in supporting OT, PT, and SLP private practices across 30+ states. We serve as a true extension of each practice’s leadership team through Revenue Cycle Management and Fractional HR services.
We are a very small, high-performing team with strong tenure and a deliberate hiring process focused on long-term cultural and experiential fit.
About the Role
This is a hands-on HR Consulting Assistant / HR Specialist position within our Fractional HR division. You will work directly under our Chief HR Strategist, delivering specialized support to OT/PT/SLP private practices nationwide.
This is not general HR work — it is a curated, niche role requiring deep, thought-leader level expertise in the unique operational and HR challenges of small therapy practices.
While the role starts at the compensation range listed above, the long-term growth trajectory is significant for the right candidate who delivers strong results as our Fractional HR division continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Building compliant, practice-specific employee handbooks from scratch
- Developing HR policies tailored to OT/PT/SLP practices and multi-state regulations
- Managing onboarding, offboarding, and compliance workflows
- Payroll coordination and troubleshooting
- Multi-state HR compliance
- Performance management and owner support through difficult situations
- New client onboarding for Fractional HR services
- Day-to-day HR and operations support tailored to therapy practice owners
- Recruiting support as needed
Who We Are Looking For
We are searching for the rare 1 in 10,000 candidate who has deep, specialized experience inside small OT/PT/SLP private practices.
You have substantial HR and business operations leadership experience specifically within clinician-owned Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy practices (under 50 employees). You understand the clinical productivity standards, insurance/credentialing pressures, and real operational realities of running a small therapy practice.
You are highly results-oriented, responsive, and operate with strong integrity and transparency — our core values.
You are energized by deep execution and follow-through (strong alignment with the Working Genius of Tenacity).
This Role Is Not a Fit If:
- You are seeking more then compensation clearly defined in job advertisement
- You live outside Florida
- You lack direct inside experience in OT/PT/SLP private practices
- You have less than 5 years of relevant specialized experience in this niche
- You do not have strong Monday.com experience
- Your background is from hospitals, health systems, staffing agencies, billing companies, or general HR roles outside therapy practices
- You are seeking a general HR Director role or broad leadership position
- You need flexible hours (this role is structured: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM Eastern)
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Rate: $25–$32 per hour (strictly based on depth of OT/PT/SLP-specific experience)
Long-Term Growth Potential: Significant increases possible in Years 2–3 based on performance and division growth (up to $42/hr+ for exceptional contributors).
Additional Benefits:
- Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): Up to $400/month
- Discretionary holiday bonuses (up to 48 hours annually)
No PTO or 401K. This structure is intentional and transparent.
How to Apply
We hire exclusively through Indeed. Applications missing any of the following will not be considered:
- A custom cover letter specifically detailing your OT/PT/SLP private practice experience, practice sizes, HR/operations responsibilities, platforms used (especially Monday.com), and why this specialized work matters to you.
- Complete, thoughtful answers to all screening questions.
- Your resume.
Final Note:
2 of our core values are transparency and responsiveness. We are looking for the authentic fit in all aspects of how this role is being described. If you do not fully meet the hard requirements outlined — especially the direct OT/PT/SLP private practice HR experience — the most respectful action is to not apply. We are trying to be respectful of your time and truly seeking that unique fit candidate.
Thank you for respecting our process.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $66,560.00 per year
Application Question(s):
- Question 1 — Your "Why" Behind This Search
What is driving your decision to explore new employment opportunities at this time? Be specific and honest — we are looking for the genuine reason, whether that is a job loss, a compensation gap, a culture misalignment, a career pivot, or something else entirely. Vague answers like "seeking growth" or "looking for new challenges" will not give us what we need. Tell us your real story.
- Question 3 — Employment Retention & Patterns
What has been your average employment retention per job over the last 5 years? For each role, briefly tell us what kept you or what caused you to leave. We are not looking for polished answers here — we are looking for self-awareness and honesty. Patterns tell us a lot about fit.
- Question 4 — Your Hands-On HR Experience
Describe your direct HR experience — including the size of the organizations you have supported, the specific HR functions you have owned (recruitment, payroll, compliance, handbooks, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, etc.), and any experience you have working with or recruiting for private practice healthcare settings, specifically Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology practices. Do not put "see resume." We want to hear it in your own words.
- Question 5 — Demonstrating You Actually Read This Post
Based on our job post, answer the following three questions in your own words:
1. What is WWMP looking for in this hire — what kind of background and mindset fits, and what profile does NOT fit?
2. What does this role require in terms of schedule, location eligibility, and work structure?
3. What benefits does WWMP offer — and just as importantly, what benefits do we NOT offer?
This question is not a trick. It is a filter. We want to know that you are applying to THIS role with intention — not clicking apply on everything that shows up in your feed.
- Question 6 — Small Business Instinct Check
Tell us about a time you had to solve a real HR problem inside a small business — a situation where there was no large team to escalate to, no established playbook, and no one to hand it off to. What was the situation, what did you do, and what was the outcome?
- Question 7 - Please identify your location and reminder: role is remote but you must be resident and reside in preferably Florida but Idaho, Maryland, Virginia. if you reside outside those states, we are not able to employ you. (Hopefully, you caught that in the job post.)
- Utilize this section to showcase your coverletter if you did not upload one.
- If you indicated you have years of experience within an Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Speech Therapy Private Practice, please indicate your direct work experience and functions in those unique industry specialties? (If you mark down years of experience on your application, this is where you need to indicate specifics as many people are not accurately portraying their experience in this specialty.)
- Question 2 — Your Compensation Goals (Own Them But Recognize This Role Is Not Aligned If You Are Seeking More Than Outlined In The Job Advertisement - OT/PT/SLP experience required to make over $28 per hour.)
What are your hourly rate earning goals for Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 of your next employment opportunity? Please provide a specific dollar figure for each year — not "negotiable," not "let's discuss," and not a range.
