Job Description

We are looking for natural bilinguals — people who were raised speaking both Spanish and English at home — to work as in-person freelance interpreters across multiple settings in the Miami area.

Depending on the assignment, you will be providing IN-PERSON services for:

Immigration: Attend in person at the USCIS office in Miami to interpret asylum, residency, and citizenship interviews.

Court (Legal): Attend in person at hearings (deportation defense, bond hearings, etc.).

Medical: Assist patients during medical exams, Workers' Comp evaluations, or immigration medical exams (I-693), in person.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. You choose which assignments to accept based on your availability.

Duties

Provide accurate and neutral interpretation between Spanish and English
Attend USCIS field office appointments in person in Miami (immigration)
Attend court hearings and legal proceedings in person
Interpret during patient-doctor consultations, Workers' Comp evaluations, and immigration medical exams in person
Follow specific protocols for each setting (USCIS interpreter oath, court interpreter oath, HIPAA compliance for medical)
Maintain strict confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism at all times

What We Are Looking For

Natural bilingual: You were raised speaking both Spanish and English at home and are comfortable communicating clearly and naturally in both languages
In-person availability: This is an in-person position — you must be available to attend assignments in the Miami area
A professional, calm, and reliable attitude
Reliable transportation (for in-person appointments)
Strong ethical standards – you must remain neutral and never give advice
Willingness to learn and follow our training
Legal authorization to work in the United States as an independent contractor

Experience

Previous interpretation experience is valuable but not required — we provide training for the right candidates.
