We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with hands-on electronics manufacturing experience to drive supplier quality performance across PCBA, electronics assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electromechanical systems, and enclosure manufacturing. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
This role goes beyond identifying defects. The successful candidate will work directly with suppliers and internal engineering teams to reduce quality issues before they occur through process improvement, root cause analysis, improved work instructions, enhanced test methods, and stronger manufacturing controls.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBAs, SMT assembly, supplier quality, failure analysis, electrical troubleshooting, IPC standards, and aerospace quality systems. This individual will frequently visit suppliers, evaluate production processes, investigate nonconformances, and drive corrective actions that improve supplier performance and product reliability.
This position offers the opportunity to influence manufacturing quality across complex aerospace and defense electronic products while partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

Serve as the primary Supplier Quality Engineer supporting electronics manufacturing, PCBAs, cable assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, and enclosure suppliers.

Evaluate supplier quality performance and lead supplier quality improvement initiatives.

Perform hands-on inspection, troubleshooting, and verification of PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and ESS-tested hardware.

Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, compliance reviews, and supplier development activities.

Drive root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies including:

Evaluate SMT manufacturing, soldering, inspection, assembly, and test processes.

Develop and improve supplier scorecards and supplier quality monitoring systems.

Assist suppliers with process improvements, fixture development, test optimization, and defect reduction initiatives.

Travel regularly to supplier locations to conduct audits, problem resolution activities, and supplier development efforts.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline OR equivalent industry experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.69/hr.
