Job Description

Southeast Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) is seeking an experienced, values-driven Practice Manager to lead operations at our Miami hospital. This role requires a strong leader who can drive performance, build culture, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced specialty environment. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing hospital operations, developing team performance, and achieving financial and operational goals while delivering an exceptional experience to our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.

Operational and Financial Management

You are highly effective in managing hospital operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency. You take ownership of key performance indicators, including revenue, labor costs, cost of goods, and client experience, and consistently act on data to drive results.

About the Role

The Practice Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and works in close collaboration with the Medical Director to ensure alignment between medical and operational priorities. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the hospital, including operational efficiency, team development, client experience, and financial results. Key responsibilities include leading hospital operations and ensuring alignment with SEVN standards and protocols, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, driving hospital performance against financial and operational targets, monitoring KPIs and implementing action plans, managing staffing and workflow efficiency, leading and developing department leaders, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate records and reporting, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and collaborating with marketing to support referral growth. This is a highly visible leadership role and requires active engagement on the hospital floor. Flexibility is required, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Successful candidates will establish strong team alignment, maintain operational stability, and build trust with department leaders and staff. You will demonstrate measurable progress toward KPI targets, including revenue performance, labor management, and client experience, while building a high-performing and collaborative culture.

Candidate Responsibilities

Execute strategic and operational plans at the hospital level
Oversee administrative and operational management of the hospital
Ensure high-quality service delivery and client experience
Maintain and improve operational systems and processes
Develop and support team members to achieve high performance
Salary range is based on experience and credentials

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
CVPM certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting required
Demonstrated experience in team leadership, operations, and financial management
Proficiency with practice management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software
Experience with budgeting, KPI tracking, and performance reporting preferred

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
