10 Month Position:
Base Salary: $50,000 - $51,500
Advanced Degree Supplement if eligible: $3,081 to $6,637

POSITION GOAL:
Provide live, synchronous Advanced Placement (AP) Mathematics instruction to multiple high school classrooms through district-approved distance learning platforms, while building school-based capacity through training, coaching, and instructional planning support to other school-based distance instructors.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.*Deliver live, synchronous Advanced Placement (AP) Mathematics instruction to multiple high school classrooms each day using district-approved platforms and instructional routines.
2.*Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and the community.
3.*Remain knowledgeable of district, state, and federal laws, policies, and required instructional practices.
4.*Develop standards-aligned lesson plans, digital learning materials, and assessments; maintain an organized virtual classroom and online gradebook.
5.*Differentiate instruction, provide remediation/enrichment, and implement accommodations for students with IEPs/504 Plans as appropriate in coordination with school and district teams.
6.*Coordinate daily with school-based facilitators/distance classroom staff to ensure attendance, engagement, classroom procedures, and technology readiness across sites.
7.*Prepare students for Advanced Placement® and other required assessments; follow testing security procedures and support proctoring and test coordination as assigned.
8.*Design, facilitate, and provide onboarding training for school-based distance instructors/facilitators and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality synchronous instruction.
9.Compile and analyze course participation and achievement data to inform instruction, interventions, and program improvement.
10.*Attend and participate in staff meetings, individual supervisory sessions, workshops, professional learning communities, and training sessions as needed.
11.*Present a positive image of the district, division, and department to parents, schools, and the community.
12. Provide support to schools with digital curriculum and instructional strategies, materials, and policies related to distance learning and educational technology.
13.*Keep in confidence personally identifiable information obtained in the course of professional service, unless disclosure serves professional purposes or is required by law.
14.*Collaborate and maintain frequent contact with ITS colleagues, TLL, and schools.
15.*Support the implementation of the current Florida State standards and the District Strategic Plan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (master’s degree preferred)
Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Florida Educator’s Certificate with Mathematics 6-12 certification (Advanced Placement training/experience preferred)
Three (3) years of successful high school mathematics teaching experience, including advanced coursework (e.g., Precalculus/Calculus/Statistics)
Demonstrated experience delivering synchronous instruction using video conferencing and a learning management system (LMS); experience coaching/training educators preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to plan and deliver rigorous AP Mathematics distance instruction to multiple sites simultaneously, aligned to state standards and AP course frameworks
Proficiency with synchronous teaching tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, document camera) and district-adopted digital resources
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and online gradebooks to post assignments, provide timely feedback, and monitor student progress
Strong classroom management and engagement strategies for a multi-site synchronous environment in coordination with on-site facilitators
Ability to differentiate instruction and implement interventions/enrichment using multiple data sources
Expertise in written and oral communication to effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and district stakeholders using multiple media
Demonstrated expertise in planning, designing, facilitating, and following up on professional learning for school-based distance instructors and facilitators
Strong planning, record keeping, and time-management skills to manage multiple course sections, pacing, and timelines
Knowledge of testing security and procedures for Advanced Placement® and other required assessments; willingness to support proctoring and test coordination as assigned
Ability to work harmoniously and collaboratively across ITS Educational Technology, Teaching & Learning, and school teams; participate in PLCs and continuous improvement
