Full Job Description

Job Title: Outside Golf Services

Department: Golf Operations

Reports To: Assistant Golf Professional

Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Overview

The position contributes to the success of daily golf operations including participation in the execution of the Vaquero Member experience. Assumes responsibility in working side by side with the outside service team by taking pride in executing the day to day tasks and responsibilities, being helpful, closely working with outside service leaders and the assistant golf professional team on delivering our Member experience, participating in team building exercises, dedication to improving skills and involvement in education opportunities, support with all golf events and activities, relationship building with Members, and following the service standard set forth by Vaquero management.

Essential Functions

Greets all members and guests by name
Determines the needs of members and guests through open ended questions
Works closely with employees in delivering exceptional service in accordance with our written “Practices” for all service experiences
Pays attention to presentation and cleanliness in all service areas
Participates in all golf functions in a professional and efficient manner
Provides excellent customer service and assists all Members and their guests
Communicates with other departments
Promotes club activities, events, and services
Assists in the execution of tournaments and events
Assists in the cart fleet maintenance program
Assists in providing service to Members and Guests
Assists in the daily setup and over-all experience at the driving range
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professional and/or Director of Golf

Education/Qualifications

· 1 year Customer Service required

Golf Experience/Knowledge preferred, but not required

· Strong communication and correspondence skills with the ability to maintain sound working relationships and communications with Members, Club Management, fellow workers, and vendors

· Good organizational skills and the ability to work closely with and motivate a team. Attention to quality and detail

· Professional appearance and presentation

· Excellent oral and written communications skills

· Refined human relations skills with a talent for working closely with fellow team members

· Good organizational skills with the enthusiasm to lead by example

· Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions

· Foresee service challenges and opportunities

· Possession of a valid driver’s license

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

This position requires an above average amount of physical labor throughout the shift such as lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and reaching
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
