Full Job Description

Position Overview

JVL Property Management is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team at Sunridge Apartments in Flint, MI. This role is ideal for candidates with prior apartment or multifamily housing experience who are comfortable handling leasing activities, coordinating maintenance, and maintaining strong relationships with residents.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and committed to improving property occupancy, daily operations, and overall resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Leasing & Marketing

Conduct property tours and present available units to prospective tenants
Manage leasing process from inquiry to move-in, including applications, screenings, and lease execution
Maintain knowledge of current availability, pricing, and promotions
Assist in marketing efforts to maintain and improve occupancy rates

Tenant Relations & Communication

Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally
Foster positive relationships to enhance resident retention and satisfaction
Handle lease renewals and follow up on expiring leases

Maintenance Coordination

Receive, track, and manage work orders in a timely manner
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure efficient resolution of issues
Follow up with residents to confirm completion and satisfaction

Administrative & Systems Management

Utilize AppFolio for property management tasks including leasing, tenant records, and work orders
Maintain accurate and organized records of tenant files and communications
Assist with rent collection tracking and reporting as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in apartment leasing, property management, or multifamily housing preferred
Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management software strongly preferred
Experience with maintenance coordination and work order systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Compensation: Salary is DOE (Depending on Experience).
