Assistant House Manager – 1 year of I/DD experience required

Full-Time

Hourly Rate Range: $19.50 - $21.50/hr + $1 weekend differential!

Full-Time - Opportunities in Nassau County, NY (Long Island)

Join our team as an Assistant Manager, supporting daily operations while making a meaningful impact on the lives of people with intellectual and other disabilities (I/DD) in our Community Living Services program.

At AHRC Nassau, our mission is to empower people to live fulfilling lives. Together with Family – Friends – Community.

Assistant Managers provide person-centered support while assisting with staff supervision, training, scheduling, and documentation. They help ensure treatment plans and required records are completed, support coordination of medical appointments and transportation, and maintain communication with nurses, physicians, pharmacies, and day programs. Assistant Managers also help ensure the home remains safe and well-maintained. The role is hands-on and includes Direct Support Professional duties as needed.

We require:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid NYS Driver's License and maintain a qualified driver status throughout employment
One (1) year of experience supporting people with disabilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and administrative skills
AMAP certification – Will train/certify upon hire

Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is helpful.
