Full Job Description

This is an hourly, part time OR full time position with 20 to 38 hours per week and is a stepping stone toward becoming a board certified behavior analyst. We offer a health benefits program.

We provide a paid training experience toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician. We cover the cost of the online training modules that you can do on demand from home while also learning applied skills in our clinical setting. We cover the cost of the exam for you as well.

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) are professionals who have completed a minimum of a 40-hour intensive theory training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), have successfully passed a competency assessment administered by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and received a passing score on the Registered Behavior Technician exam through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board in order to become a Registered Behavior Technician. All Behavior Consultants provides educational and behavioral services for children with autism by implementing Applied Behavior Analysis methodologies and are continually supervised by an agency BCBA on a weekly basis and engage in behavior analytic professional development activities. Behavior technicians are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA. Behavior Consultants may also collect data and conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments) under the supervision of a BCBA. Behavior Consultants is not responsible for the designing of interventions, conducting in-depth assessments, or developing skill acquisition or behavior reduction plans. It is the responsibility of the designated BCBA supervisor of the Behavior Consultants to determine which tasks Behavior Consultants may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence. The designated BCBA supervisor is ultimately responsible for the work performed by the Behavior Consultants.

This is an hourly, part time OR full time position with an average of 35 hours per week and is a stepping stone toward becoming a board certified behavior analyst. We offer a health benefit program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RBT is primarily responsible for direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill- acquisition and behavior reduction.
RBTS’s establish & maintain therapeutic relationships by pairing themsleves as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the client of social interaction with the RBT.
The RBT prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills.
The RBT fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
The RBT increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations).
The RBT accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, interval based recording, and procedural integrity/fidelity checks.
The RBT follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate supervision.
The RBT collaborates with treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
The RBT educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the BT, and functions within boundaries of the BT role in providing treatment.
The RBT conducts reassessment of skills/behaviors as appropriate.
The RBT provide 1 on 1 therapy to assigned clients
The RBT may train new therapists using trainer training checklist and provide feedback; particularly those who are seeking BCaBA/BCBA certification will provide training to other staff members.
The RBT attends meetings when scheduled
The RBT maintains positive relationships with parents, clients, team members and Supervisors.
The RBT provides input and suggestions for client's program to the Supervisor
The RBT updates their client’s programs and materials as needed
The RBT keeps their workspace clean and organized
The RBT completes end-of-session notes (superbills) in an accurate and timely manner.
The RBT refrains from off-task behavior such as cell-phone use during scheduled session times with clients.
