Full Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume culinary operation. We believe great food starts with great people and strong systems. You won't be managing from an office; you’ll be leading from the line, coaching your team, and driving operational excellence. If you are a passionate culinary leader who takes pride in both scratch cooking and tight financial controls, this is for you.

What You’ll Do:

Lead by Example: Be present on the line during peak volume, setting the tone, ensuring ticket times are met, and dishes leave spec-perfect
Kitchen Systems: Enforce and execute our system operations, including pre-shift line checks and daily prep, cost specials
Culinary Standards: Strictly uphold our recipe cards and ensure staff use quick reference guides to achieve product consistency
Financial Controls: Manage food costs through active inventory control, accurate recipe costing, waste tracking, and proper ordering. Using tools like walk thru, line checks, recipe cards -inventory sheets and reviewing of items sales
Attend weekly call reviewing People, Product , Professionalism
Build Culture & Team: Develop a high-performing culinary team. Foster an accountable, supportive, and positive back-of-house culture. Develop Sous chef, keys, and staff members to grow

Qualifications:

3+ years of kitchen management/leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
Good understanding of kitchen (COGS, recipe costing, inventory, labor, use of company tools )
A "working manager" mentality with an unwavering commitment to food quality and sanitation
Ability to hold the team accountable while creating a collaborative and respectful work environment
